Some tips that may help you if you feel you have a problem:
1-If your motor or pump does not operate as expected, check for proper voltage going to the motor. For 115v pumps, you should have 111 volts with the motor running on high speed, at minimum. For 230v pumps, 222 volts minimum, on high speed.
2-Check for foreign material inside the pump housing; this is a common problem.
3-Verify the pump impeller and motor turn freely. Look for signs of water leakage between the pump and motor. Seals should be replaced periodically, as they wear. Typical spa motors are indoor use only, not rainproof or waterproof construction, and should not be operated if motor is wetted. Motors damaged by water are not a product defect.
